Who, out of the theory of the earth and of his or her body understands, by subtle analogies, all other theories,
The theory of a city, a poem, and of the large politics of these States;
…The past, the future, dwelling there, like space, inseparable together.
Walt Whitman, ‘Kosmos’
Collaborating with composer Ellen Birgitte Rasmussen and video photographer Alexandra Buhl on a research project exploring the artistic potential of co-creational encounters with the Danish Wadden Sea - a unique natural landscape, and a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Drawing on theory, thought and poetry revolving around the relation between humans and their surroundings and the very present awareness of the so-called anthropocentric era, the projects aims position the object of the human body on equal terms with other objects and phenomena present in this landscape. To explore what expressions and dialogical creations can arise from that. The outcome is a series of video works, photographs and compositions for chamber ensemble.
